DEATH BY CHOCOLATE
Contest rules

1. Contestant must be an individual who is a resident of Rosebud or Treasure Counties.

2. Enter items from 10:00 AM to 12:30 P.M. Saturday. No late entries will be accepted.
Judging begins at 1:00 PM.

3. This is a chocolate contest so every recipe must include chocolate.

4. Categories:
- Whole cake, from scratch
- Cookies -1 dozen cookies or bars (cut into 2x2 inch pieces) Including brownies
- Chocolate dessert
- Candy (one dozen pieces)
- Any item not listed in another category ( for example - a snack)
- 18 and under (any item)

5. Recipes must be submitted with the entry, printed on one side of a card or sheet of paper. Recipe must list all ingredients, quantities, and the preparation instructions. Contestant's name, address, and phone number must be printed on the back side of the recipe page. No entries will be returned. A bake sale will be held following the contest, to raise money for a prize fund. All items must be in a disposable container. We will not be responsible for the damage, loss, or the return of any containers.

6. Judging will be based on the following criteria:
Flavor: 30 Points
Moistness and/or Crumb Texture: 25 Points
Overall Appearance: 20 Points
Consistency (Size and Shape): 15 Points
Creativity: 10 Points
Total 100 Points

7. Prizes:
1st Place in each category $30,
2nd Place $20
3rd Place $10

$100 Grand Prize for the best overall entry (chosen by the judges)

Special Award for the winner of a public vote, People’s Choice.
This winner will be chosen from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category.
